With passion for both painting and filmmaking, Paul graduated from Princeton University. Beginning in 1985, Paul was production coordinator for the original "Transformers" animated TV episodes (79 of them) for Marvel and wrote some of the scripts too. George Lucas chose Paul and his wife, Hollace, to co-author 6 "Star Wars" sequel books ("The Glove of Darth Vader" etc.) that sold millions of copies. Paul went on to produce and direct ten films, including the famous New Mexico UFO story for Showtime ("Roswell: The UFO Coverup" with Kyle MacLachlan of "Twin Peaks" and Martin Sheen), plus five TV films distributed worldwide by NBCUniversal. Those include a film about Vincent van Gogh ("Starry Night"), "The Sci-Fi Boys" (with "Lord of the Rings" producer Peter Jackson), "Jesus in India," and two other NBC TV films produced in Santa Fe: "Before We Say Goodbye" and "The Life After Death Project." At Blurb.com you will find 5 color books of his art, all entitled "The Art of Paul Jeffrey Davids" with subtitles such as New York and Paris, Mexico, the California Coast, Forests and Flowers - and an unusual art book called "Blue Jeans and Oil," which has multi-media oil paintings.
